E-CELLS just came out with their newest AWD EMTB, the Kings Crown. It has much improved front and rear dropouts that secure axles with two small bolts below/behind the axle to prevent any loss of a wheel when riding. Thus no "retention arms" need to be added for safety as I did on my very similar E-CELLS Super Monarch Crown rear axle.
This new EMTB is a step above my bike with all the same basic gear such as 2 wheel drive, 2 batteries and dual suspension. All these are just a bit upgraded, like the dropouts. Plus it has a dual beam headlight, turn and brake signals, wider tires (4.8" v.s. my 4.25") and a more adjustable ride with new shocks.
If "My Precious" ever got stolen I'd use the insurance money to get a Kings Crown. I use a British LITELOCK U-shaped lock that is VERY angle grinder resistant plus a hidden Air Tag and insurance so I think I'm protected - somewhat.
BTW, If you are looking at E-CELLS bikes, unless you are 6' 2" get the 17" (Medium) size. Don't ask...
 
I just watched YouTube promotor "MaximumCharge" video on eCells King Crown eBike. He seemed to really like almost everything, but the grips which were not well secured to the handlebars.

The soft-start feature will be liked by many, but had a significant impact on the 0 to 20 time he measured. Under heavy torque tests (grassy hill climb), the controller switched off the motors as a protective measure against over current.

But he was overall very pleased with the torque and top speed. Level ground he was getting about 41 MPH. Like many people, he enjoyed the softer long-travel suspension as well. He has a second "offroad test" video he made, and I suspect that is where this particular eBike will shine. I have not viewed that video yet.

Just a quick caution; there are some members here who have a clear dislike for the eCells brand. As I have no experience with that particular brand, I have no opinion.

Yeah, Dave Cleveland has tried to make the King's Crown with the software to protect the motors because he does guarantee them for 2 years with lifetime frame warranty.
I was kind of surprised at how wide the tire are at 4.8". I thought mine, at 4.25", were pretty fat. Maybe Dave was influenced by the cushier ride in a Jeep/QuietKat bike with its huge tires.

If there are members here that dislike E-CELLS bikes it is likely because it seems WIRED bikes and E-CELLS have gotten into a pissing contest about frame rigidity and frame design, with E-CELLS accusing WIRED of copying the design of the Super Monarch Crown. That's a tempest in a teapot and will pass quickly.
With the quality of E-CELLS I would be at a loss as to why someone would not like them, especially for the price of that quality. TREK bike are truly outrageous in their top end pricing and the RAMBO 2 wheel drive is a few thousand above E-CELLS but with less content.
But hey, different rides for different folks. "Ride yer own ride" I see EMTBs all the time on the trail and hear both kudos and complaints about them from their riders. No e-bike is perfect.

The one thing I try to avoid is arguing with some riders whom have a touch of "mid drive snobbery" and look down their noses at hub drive bikes. I see the attraction of mid drive for street and "sport" EMTBs that will be jumped and ridden fast on twisty trails. But for CARGO EMTBs like Rambo, Quiet Kat, Wired and E-CELLS hub drives are a safety design so if you break a chain in the outback that is so mangled its unrepairable you still can "throttle" home (often back to a camp) with the hub drives alone. For me, at 81, who hunts and camps alone, that is a good safety net. Yeah, I carry a Garmin mapping GPS so I can hike back to camp. And if the SHTF I also carry a SPOT rescue beacon to call in a medivac chopper so the coyotes don't gnaw on my bones. For me my EMTB is a godsend for hunting to cover lots of ground and in Nevada that's the name of the game.
 
About 3 hours ago the YouTube Influencer "TailHappyTV" dropped a video too. His assessment seems to closely match Maximum Charge's review. In a Tuck, and with a small tailwind, he hit 44 MPH. But sitting up, he only got 41 MPH. Still, for a 52 volt bike, this is uncommonly fast.

Although The Kings Crown has only a few more "bells & whistles" than my E-CELLS Super Monarch Crown I Can see that it's a step up in ride and performance including upgraded shocks and tires. TIRES! Those are FAT tires. They are 4.8" wide and mine are 4.25". Doesn't seem like much but another 1/2" in width translates to a much fatter tire with a much more cushioned ride.

Speaking from experience tuning the suspension on two bikes....
If your suspension is set up right, you don't need soft super-fat tires.
Mine are filled to maximum allowed compression (30 PSI), to get a more ideal rolling resistance.
 
"Tooth",Yep, for pavement ridingI keep my 4.25" wide tires at 30# for better mileage.
My buddy's the same bike and let his tires go to 10 psi. in some desert riding he hit a rock and got a "snakebite" flat by the rim hitting the tube.
Although he and I have Tannus liners they don't protect against snakebite.

As for suspension tuning, I need together better fork shocks. Mine can't be tuned for rebound. My rear Rock Shock is fine.
