Hello, how is your City 2 working out? Any issues? I have the same model with about 1200 miles. So far I have experienced one issue.I purchased a Denago City 2 from a local dealer. waiting on phone call to pickkup.
Looking forward to getting out on it.
So far so good. only got about 400 miles on it to date. I added accessories like fenders, a suspension seat post and a rear rack. My intended use hasn't panned out since most businesses near me have absolutely no place to lock up any type of bike and the roads are just too dangerous with little to no shoulders and everyone is driving via their cell phone it seems.Hello, how is your City 2 working out? Hello Calhoun, thanks for the reply. I have over 1,200 miles and had to replace the lower battery support module. One of the gold pins over heated and the battery stopped charging while installed on the bike. It was replaced at no charge. I bought the e-bike last year. I live in Puerto Rico and find the roads here are not friendly for bikes. I ride mostly along the waterfront. I'm 69 and could no longer walk long distances without pulling something in my legs. So I started riding a regular bike which worked out great. And then I saw an e-bike and just loved its hybrid technology. I am a certified aircraft technician which expertise in electrical and electronic systems. I'm sorry to hear things didn't work out for you regarding the e-bike. Can you take it to an area where you can enjoy your e-bike? I'm looking for a rack so I can take it around the island. Nice talking with you. I agree. I have City 2 and 16 mph is too fast. I have a Favorite e-bike that lets me adjust the controller. I leaned I could also adjust the speed on the Denago using the monitor. Try it.My ONLY con about this Denago is PAS 1 is tweaked too fast!
I generally take it to the next town over from me. It's an historic town in Southern New Jersey, founded in 1871. Alot of beautiful houses to look at from that time frame, all kept up very well. The roads are nice and wide and its a very low traffic town so I don't mind riding in the road there. I also take it to a toe path that runs parallel to a canal and some rails to trails. I tend to alternate between this bike and my Trek Dual Sport 3 gen 5 standard bike.Hello Calhoun, thanks for the reply. I have over 1,200 miles and had to replace the lower battery support module. Hello Unit59, do you own an e-bike? I have two and really enjoy both of them. it's amazing at how quickly one can go from point A to point B which means the area that is traveled for the same time because much larger. I ran up until my late 40's and then started walking and riding a regular bike until I preferred riding just the bike. Now I own an e-bike which allows me a nice workout without killing me. Especially riding uphill. I glide up hills now. The e-bike can be adjusted so you get the workout that is comfortable for you.Denago's look like very nice bikes, I've never heard of them before but I was impressed when I looked them up. There is also a local dealer within 30 minutes from my location.
Yes I own an ebike, I bought one several months ago and like you I have been enjoying it immensely every chance I get. The one I have has been excellent and I use it for exercise and adventure rides. I have been looking for another ebike but with the smaller fatter 20" wheels for just general short trips or local exploring and fun, along with exercise. I just can't seem to find exactly what I'm looking for yet so my search continues.Hello Unit59, do you own an e-bike? I prefer commuter bikes because the tires run for 2.0 to 2.4. Fat tires don't roll as well on pavement and unless you ride on beaches I don't personally recommend fat tires. When I "climb up" on my L/XL Denago I am riding higher compared to my other e-bike where I am riding at a norma men's bike height. I makes for great ergonomics. I changed the handlebars so I can ride in a more straight up position. I hope you find the ebike you are looking for. Looks like were are both new members. Maybe we can get this forum moving. E-bikes are here to stay and they are wonderful for exercise and mental health. For the elderly they are a great equalizer so they can ride with their grandkids and not feel like they are holding anyone up. That's my take anyway.Yes I own an ebike, I bought one several months ago and like you I have been enjoying it immensely every chance I get.
