Do Fiido bikes use torque or cadence sensing?
Well I searched their site and it didn't say so I asked Venice AI and it came back that it's a cadence sensor. Take that for what its worth.I was looking at purchasing a Fiido T1 Pro as a nice winter months beater bike, or about town bike. But that's the one question a had about it, and stopped me from buying it, Torque or cadence sensor? I sent them an email and never received a response back, so I can check that bike off my list.
As a former IT guy, AI scares me but seems to be scary smart too!Well I searched their site and it didn't say so I asked Venice AI and it came back that it's a cadence sensor. Take that for what its worth.
Thank you for clearing that up, much appreciated. I was close to purchasing one, but I can't deal with a cadence sensor for my general type of riding.Sounds like they are assuming you've already bought the bike. The speed sensor they are referring to, I believe is your pedal assist sensor, which is their way of saying there is no torque sensor involved.
Yup it is, my wife and I both test drove the fold 1 plus and we were both impressed with it. We both ended up buying a Velotric Breeze 1 and we really love them. I'm Just looking for a winter time knock around town/ beater bike for the PA colder weather months so I don't ruin my nice Breeze 1. I didn't really want a folding bike but the Fold 1 plus has all the features I desire, plus it comes in some stunning colors. I also really like Velotrics quality and it's available at My LBS is another big plus. I'll just wait for them to do a sale, which they do once in a while, and buy it and be done. I need to stop looking at these online delivered bikes with spotty support and service, thank you for straighten me out and showing me the correct product and getting me back on track.Someone on my street just bought the Velotric Fold plus, that's a lot sturdier looking than I thought, and it has the sensor switch technology.
