Hi I have a 8speed shimano Altus derailleur coming to replace a manufacturer problem w a acera. I was curious if it has an clutch adjustment or not. Thanks for your input JP

I don't believe any of the Altus series has the clutch.

Ok thanks! Is there an 8 speed that does? Oh and my rear disc started squeaking what do you recommend cleaning with. I was going to use contact cleaner. Appreciate any info.

I'd imagine there is an 8 speed out there that does since it's a common mountain-bike setup but I don't know specifically. Hopefully someone will chime in. As for cleaning the disc, I always just use 91% rubbing alcohol, but wear some gloves so you don't accidentally re-contaminate with your skin oils as you are cleaning.
