I have been fixing a 750 motor setup that I made a few years ago. I sold it to a friend b7t he has killed 1 the nylon wheel.. stripped it bear ... but in the process I think he has damaged the coil motor .. I have taken it all apart re greased . On the bench test with motor open the motor trys to spin but not complete. Any suggestions..

You can tell if the motor windings are shorted out with a ohm meter (DVM). Check the continuity between the 3 windings. The resistance should be the same no matter which of the 3 wires you ohm out. If there's a noticeable difference between any of the 3 windings that means the motor is bad.

Keep in mind your motor driver (controller) has a 3 phase output. If one of the three legs of the driver is blown, you could get similar results. With stripped gears, it is possible it pushed the driver to it's limits (and beyond).
