hi,
Can't get the plastic cover for the bosch 625 battery to lock closed. just keeps springing open. New Cube Deluxe one.

Hi, searching under Bosch 625 cube battery schematic I found a pdf file with these instructions, depending on what style you have. The two things they mention are making sure the prongs at the bottom are seated properly and on the other type, pressing very firmly with your palm. You can see if either will help you

I insert the cover at the bottom clips first then press at the top but it just pops out

I couldn't get your video to play. There is a YouTube video," How to remove your Bosch Power Tube Battery" by Ebike Sussex. Firstly, he says the cover is replaceable, if need be. Secondly, what is your key doing? That seemed to be part of reinstalling everything. Try his steps and let me know if it worked.

The cover won't close even without the battery inserted.
I can close the upper section of the cover if i insert it first but then the lower part of the cover won't close because of the 2 small catches. (the correct procedure is to close lower first and then top.)

Sorry, I've been having trouble with this site. I couldn't change my last post. You don't have a slide latch but a single button. People do have trouble with this. Some of these are adjustable. Thankyou for posting that video, it was a help. Ridewill online has many of these covers. They also have a funny washer which I am not sure fits your bike. People on the emtb forums have had a lot of trouble with these covers and many add an elastic velcro strap to make sure it stays in place. Ridewill is in Italy, not Too far away. The covers range from about 13 euros To about 20..

Some people have taken the button apart and cleaned it, finding that it would not lock due to grit. If you want me to try and find out more about how they did that let me know.

No that's okay. I only received the bike yesterday. I will contact the dealer.

This is making me think the button might have gunk in it.

Definitely do that if it's new. It sounds like the spring in your button is not working.

Why they made this battery cover to be plastic - Billion dollar question. I have a broken one. Needs replacement. circa 30 for a piece of a plastic.
