Can anyone explain how I adjust the handlebar rake on my Cube Kathmandhu crossbar? I have just purchased this bike, the retailer adjusted the angle whilst I was at his premises, although he had great difficulty in doing so, as it didn't seem to be a normal setup!
I now need to fine tune the adjustment, but undoing the relevant bolts doesn't appear to release the tilt angle adjustment. On my wifes Trek biike, there is just one bolt to release it, cut on my Cube this bolt just seems to loosen the bracket but not release it! I have contacted Cube but have yet to receive a response.

Ha, I've just joined the forum looking for the exact same answer. I too have loosened the bolts but nothing moves! The manual is useless and tells you go to a specialist workshop!! What the f .. lip. Any update Chrisio?

Hi, I did manage to eventually adjust the stem, though it was few weeks ago. I believe i just removed the bolt completely and just manipulated the bar Until it finally moved. I’m not within reach of my bike at the moment but will have a look tomorrow and get back to you with the exact way I did it! My memory isn’t what it used to be I’m afraid!
I did send a request to Cube customer support but they never bothered replying, which doesn’t augur well if I have any warranty issues!

Hi, Ah great stuff. Ha, know the feeling about the memory. I didn't want to remove the two bolts completely in case I messed it up.

Cheers Chris

Hi, just to let you know that I sorted the problem. I removed the two bolts completely and the side panel then came off and I could adjust the tilt angle.

Thanks for the guidance.

Cheers Chris

Hi, glad you sorted the problem, it’s a shame Cube customer service don’t bother to respond to enquiries. I had another issue where my chain came off the front chain ring and jammed between the ring and the motor housing, I had to push my bike home 3 miles as I had No means of removing the guard. I have now included a few more tools in my pannier in case it happens again!
hopefully this was just a freak incident, it hasn’t happened since.
kind regards

Hi, oh no. I've had that. I did a 30-mile bike ride and fortunately it jammed with about 1.5 miles to go. My bike buddy cycled next to me and pushed me back to the car! Since then, my chain has come off (on the outside) four times (over the past two months). I've discovered that you have to be really careful in putting it back on as three times it has slipped off to the frame side and jammed. Fortunately, with the help of a mate we released it and I was able to cycle on. Cube seems to be following the "Ministry of Cr*p Design".

We are not the only ones who have this. I found another forum talking about this. The suggestion was to remove the chain guard and leave it off. The other one was to find a plastic guard for the crank set.

Cheers Chris

Its the bolt underneath! Look under the stem.
