Converting Sun EZ Sport / Bafang to IGH, wheel advice please...

I'm taking the plunge. Bought an Alfine 8 speed IGH (36 hole) for my Sun EZ Sport with Bafang BBS02. I ride almost always on paved country roads, very occaisionally on dirt roads. I'd like recommendations for make and model of (1) rim, and (2) spokes.

I should mention that I have a never-used (that is, it's "new" but 25 years old) SunRingle Rhino Lite 559 x 29.5 rim I'm hoping to use.

Are you using 12 gauge spokes? Heavy duty spokes are needed.
