Hi all! Has anyone put an electric rear hub on an older single-speed(or 'beach cruiser' as they are called these days)?
I think an old balloon tire with edrive would be a hoot.
I'm also looking at converting a bicycle built for two!

I have seen a few vintage cruisers with hub motors. You don’t see mid drives on them because they have the wrong type of bottom bracket.

You may have an issue with the motor hub being too wide to fit the frame. The frame could be spread to fit but be careful and not stress it too much.

My bike had a 3 speed IGH rear hub which is about as wide as a normal bikes single speed hub. A small 36v, 250w rated hub (runs 48v, 800w now) slotted in no problem.
