Can I use 48v battery to control a 52v motor controller?

So I hook up my 52v JPin motor controller yume d5 52v display to the 48v battery went set p setting everything set
Couldn't find how the change the voltage so it reads 52v will this b ok to run

There's a cut off voltage, overheating, discharge managed by the bms & a 48v charges to 54v so your not going to get to far before it cuts off. The controller will handle the 48v battery fine.
