I am tempted to try a Brooks C17 All Weather Saddle. Anyone have experience with one?

Some people love 'em. Road cyclists, mostly.

I don't feel like it's wide enough in the back to properly support you on an upright bike like your Aipas.

I think you want something widish at the rear, but not TOO wide, and install a suspension seatpost like the Suntour NCX. (if you don't have one yet)

The stock Aventon seat is comfy for me; I bet you could get one cheap.

Lots of folks seem to like the higher-end Cloud 9 saddles.

I think a suspension seat post would be overkill since I have rear suspension plus I didn't like the one on my cybervelo. Also I have lock mounted on the post and would not want the seat to be any higher. I think the Trek saddle will do the trick. The Brooks saddle design works with the original leather which breaks in to fit the rider something the rubber won't do. I think that is why they made the cut out version which does not work either based on the review video I saw.

Ah, I had forgotten you have rear suspension. I agree then, no need for a suspension seatpost.

I think Brooks is trying this solid rubber design now because it can be made to have the right compliance from the beginning, and it won't change during the life of the saddle. Their leather starts out quite hard and takes forever to break in, by comparison. It's nice though, because it doesn't chafe. Here's the Brooks I kept:

I love the Brookes on my urban assault bike, but as you can see I love a lot of odd things. I am the only one I know that liked those BioPace chain rings.

I bet it gives a nice ride, but it's not for the weight weenies! ;-)
That whole bike would terrify a weight weenie as it weighs 57 pounds. Seems nobody told Gazelle about composites, plastics, butted tubing or even aluminium for that matter. The bike is steel, it’s got drum brakes which are steel rod operated, steel fenders, rack, bars and stand.

And the cranks are steel forgings that look like they belong in a truck.

However it’s really comfy and will outlast cockroaches.

I agree but for some reason that is how it is comfortable. Perhaps because of the more upright riding position from the butterfly handlebars.
It's typical for hammock-style saddles like leather Brooks'. My Brooks and two Selles are like that, and the Brooks is on a semi-upright bike while the Selles are on gravel and road bikes.

I am not sure what everyone is on about. Just buy the saddle you will NOT be sorry. Get a fitting if you are worried about too narrow etc, etc.

I have been using a ladies leather saddle (narrower and shorter) without the springs for many, many, many years and it is the best thing ever. Now fitted to a suspension post after using it on a hard tail and a full suspension. It certain is weatherproof if properly maintained. It is not about the position as it can be set-up as you want to as it has no springs etc. Basic saddle, just better than most for its purpose!
The next best thing is the Rolls. (For my backside anyway)
