I just bought an Amyet S8 and after assembly, I can not get the front motor to power on. I can't seem to fully push together the wires . Any S8 owners out there that can help ? TIA

Are you sure it's the wires? Some people are having trouble with the front motor right out of the box and it is internal to the hub motor itself. I'll give you AI's response for testing it.

I hope this isn't the issue. I truly have not been able to force those 2 wires together. The thicker 3 prongs seem seated but I don't believe the thinner ones are. That's the first thing the Amyet rep told me to do. Their tip was to warm the plugs up then try to fully press them together. . My temps presently are close to zero and the bike is in my unheated garage. When I first got the bike last week it was in the high 30s in my garage when I made the first attempt to connect that front motor. Thanks

Can you post some pictures of the connectors, so we can see the type you are dealing with? If cold really is the issue, do you have a hairdryer you can bring out to the garage?

I'm going to try that hopefully sometime tomorrow. Some of these S8s have twist on connectors. I don't have that. Minne are basic press together ones.

You said some people are experiencing issues w the front motor out of the box ? Who is ?
You can just Google Amyet S8 front motor problems. There are some threads on Reddit. I did come across one thing, someone also had trouble plugging in the front motor and he said he couldn't do it until he cut off all of the zipties in that area.

I just did and I didn't see a lot of bikes w this issue. I'll do my best to get those wires 100% seated and then go from there.

Another thing you could check, if it is still an issue, is unplugging your brake cut offs. I don't know how they arrange them with dual motors but if one goes to the front and it is sticking in the off position then the motor won't run.

Good idea. I'll try that once I'm 100% sure those wires are fully pressed together. I was thinking about the brakes but if the brakes are pressed at all , there are indicators that appear on the lcd screen. If they appear on there without me actually pressing on them the bikes front motor would not power up as a safety precaution. Thanks for trying to help me.

I warmed up the wire connectors with a hair dryer today. After some attempts, I was able to finally push the ends fully together. Everything is good now !!
