I bought my first e-bike a week ago Jasion YM1:

The specs looked good for the price and I am very happy with it.

The reason I came to this forum was to ask if I can get 25mph? It is currently limited to 20mph and it already feels a bit tame.
I played with all the advanced settings, but so far, I don't believe there has been any improvement.

I wanted to avoid petrol and years ago I used to do 25mph on a standard 10 speed bike for a few minutes. The tour de France guys average 25mph the whole time! The good news is I found and corrected two faults which helped. I returned the settings to defaults.

1. The gear adjust had a thick steel frame around the outside of it, perhaps to protect the mechanism. or perhaps it was intentional to prevent it reaching 7th gear. I couldnt remove it so I added a 2.5mm large washer/shim to allow it to reach 7th gear. I was finding I was pedaling like crazy fast above 15mph. The gear ratios are not optimized inho so I am using it 90% of the time in this 7th gear. I guess that will wear out first.

2. the front brakes were badly aligned and the wheel would stop after a few seconds. I adjusted them and all is good.

With these two fixes I can get to 22mph with some good pedaling and 20mph without pedaling which is about 1-2mph more than it was doing yesterday.

I am still overall happy with the bike and purchase.
If I continue to use it I may upgrade to a fat tire 1500W ebike in a few years. Will see, I am 64..

Hey Pinhead, I just saw you are from Wales.... me also - originally from near Caerphilly!

Hi, the Jasion YM1 is a fairly generic bike that gets sold by different vendors. The YM1 is almost exactly the same as the Heybike Racemax. There are different issues of displays and controllers even within the same seller. You can try using the programming manual for the Racemax and see if your display is the same. There is more information from Heybike than Jasion. I don't know how many P settings are on your particular issue. You can of course, put in a smaller wheel size to see if that fools the speed limiter. The Racemax manual is readily available where as Jasion's information is more limited. I'll post a page of settings here and Heybike's manual is on Manuals+.

Thats the one I have. Amazon shipping is high, so I did not buy there on this occasion.
Also, I though Walmart being local might be easier to return if I needed to.

I tried every possible setting, but the actual speed did not change on my version.
