Hi.

Does anyone know if it is possible to connect a Garmin Forerunner 165 to the Bosch flow system? It would be helpful to get my heart rate on the bike screen.

How is Bosch with reliability? My Brother dogs their bike motors down he has never owned one. I started buying Bosch brushless power tools and there winnders imo. Tons of power that lasts and I only had one break down. But not motor related.

I’ve attended Bosch training, they told us the motors should be good for 50,000km. We have a customer at our shop who puts 30,000km a year on his e-bike. He’s a year round rider so you can throw a lot of rain, road salt and cold weather use into that. He’s just bought his second bike as the first one is pretty worn after 3 years of that treatment. ( 90,000+ km! ) We replaced his chain, cassette, derailleur, brakes and tires I don’t know how many times. He bought a second battery a while back as the original was getting a bit iffy and he cracked the rim on the rear wheel at least once.

But the stupid Bosch Performance Line motor has never been touched and still works fine.

I bought a medium 18V brushless / cordless drill 2 years ago. Mainly for a home utility and lighter duty. It inspired confidence to use it all around. I highly recommend that one. It has the clutch setting and hammer on/off and a necessity half inch drive. I picked it over Makita at the time because Bosch was the only one offering it brushless at the time. The drill is a little champion. It came with dual battery. The new lithium tech is also awesome, they charge within in a couple hours and last. You can't beat having two in the middle of something though.
