BiggKidd's bike rides

Just went to take the bike out for the first time in awhile. Checked the battery with a multimeter on the way out the door only to find my battery dead 45V. It was charged, fully about two weeks ago. I did unintentionally leave it hooked to the benchtop power supply. I guess that even with both the battery and power supply being off it somehow caused the discharge. It's trying to do a fast charge now at 5 amps. I either need to leave here by two or wait until next week or the next break in the weather...

After looking at the amount of charge needed and where all I need to go I slowed the charger back down to two amps from five. I'll just have to go next week. Might slow it down to a half amp or one amp and just let charge real slow. Low and slow is usually better than fast and hard when it comes to charging.

Finally remembered to get a new battery for my multi meter. My bike battery has been sitting since being charged on the 19th of Nov. It had gotten bled off by me leaving the power supply connected but off before that and killed the battery. Well it looks like the battery is mostly fine. I just checked the charge and it's at 53.8V so it has lost about 0.4 volts since charging.
