Yes, it locks into place and securing the bike nicely. I went to U-Haul today to get my hitch installed and they ordered the wrong one and it did not fit. They told me they don't have the one for the newly revised 2025 Equinox so I felt the whole hitch rack idea had fallen through and wouldn't work for me. I packaged up the rack and was getting it ready to send back and was discouraged over the whole situation of a hitch and rack, and thought I had to find a different way to transport the bike. I talked with a rep from e-trailer.com and she assured me a hitch they have would work with out any problems. I told her I would order it if she would be willing to allow me to send them back, no charge shipping on them, if the hitch didn't work and she agreed. So now I am waiting on a hitch from them that possibly will be here this Friday and have to see how that works out. I'll keep my fingers crossed, whatever that means, and hopefully the hitch I get will work. I can't believe how difficult the time I am having with a stupid hitch and rack?! I have the rack all packed up but maybe I will be unpacking it if I get the hitch to work. I was so looking forward to having the hitch and rack ready today, but hopefully the hitch I am getting next will actually work. We will see.
Lol, you noticed, you are very observant. Yes that is my dog's dish I used to use and sometimes still do for him, but I got other dishes I used to feed him with. He is a spoiled 20 lb Poochon (poodle/bichon mix) that gave me permission to use his dish for propping the assembly up like it is so it would not fall over.
