Battery question

Hello all new here, I have 4 12v batteries set like so. What is the correct way to wire them together to make 48v ? If possible a simple picture like the one I provided would be greatly appreciated. Many thanks

Hi there and welcome. I will attach an image showing you how to wire them in series.

Positive 2 to Negative 1
Positive 1 to Negative 3
Positive 3 to Negative 4

If you then put your multimeter on Negative 2 and Positive 4 there should be 48 Volts and this is where you run your main wires from.

Be very careful and please double check my diagram with someone else before proceeding.
