I am a recent amputee and try to make the best out of a bad thing by building a recumbent bike, which I have just about done, but I need to know whether or not I can put a 36 V battery with a 48 V battery if so, any ideas on how to do that thanks for your time

In general, no. Use the battery that comes with, or is recommended by, your conversion kit.

Thanks for your reply. The battery did not come with the bike as it was donated to me from a local charity so just trying to see which way works.
