Hi there, folks.
Recently I've converted an MTB with Bafang 750/48 kit.
My question is is there a way to get it to go back to PAS 1 when I stop (eg at a traffic light). I find it dangerous to set off on PAS 3-4-5 when I forget to shift manually to 1. The bike just jumps.

I don't know of any controllers which autoshift PAS for you. It's something that takes a little getting used once you start riding a bike with a motor. You can reduce the starting power of your motor so it won't have so much umpf when it is engaged. That would be in your bafang motor setpoints.

Hello,
I've found some videos on programming the controllert using this software, and it looks promising. I'll give it a try once I obtain a USB cable.
Thank you!

If you’ve got a throttle control (thumb or twist), then using that to produce a slow/smooth take off before engaging the PAS setting via pedaling works well.
