So I have a bit of a quandary. When I switched from mid-drive to hub drive on my recumbent the only hub I could find at the time was a Bafang G020 for a 26” wheel. I have 20” wheels
Mounted it anyway. Has been running flawlessly. Now I have a new bike and a new (to me) motor. New bike has 26” wheel, new (to me) Bafang G020 has sticker stating it’s for 20” wheel. I’m wondering if it is really necessary to swap them out. I understand that one should have less/mor windings, but does it really? Bafang, unfortunately, doesn’t give this spec): At the end of the day I’ll probably just build out the 26” with the new motor but, what do you guys think?
