What works best is going to depend on your other connections. However, just to start things off, that controller is not a KT. It is some other nameless brand where the seller stuck 'KT' in the product title to fool the newbie. I noted if you search for 'KT ebike controller on Amazon.de the one you linked is first... thats literally a trick the seller pulled to get that search placement.

Here's a real KT controller. Look at the exterior casing and particularly the label and the model number. Its only a 15a but I chose it to show the label clearly.

And another. Note the similarity of the casing and the labeling.

These controllers use the 'waterproof' connectors which is what you want. If your connections are the crappy snap-on JST's like the controller you linked uses, then KT sells versions that use those too.

Ebay has KT controllers in a blinding variety. More than you can count but you will see a pattern after a bit of browsing in terms of the sizes available.

This is a good seller whose inventory is pretty straightforward. I buy from them on Ebay where they sell for a higher price but include free shipping. Note this is a sine-wave version and not square-wave. You can get either and you want sine wave.

For Bafang motors with the small power plug (usually that means 500w), I use the 30a T12S from topbikekit. If you have the big plug on a 750w+ motor, then this would be the equivalent:

I use 35a KT's for my rear motors but I don't see any offhand. You'll need to do some googling :-)

and this as well

this is the power of this platform....you can do great things if you have a bit of calm and patience

I already went thru that vid and I was most interested in the part where he was able to show the Phaserunner settings Grin uses on the G062 in order to give himself some guardrails.

Honestly... a Phaserunner is never going to be a bad solution, either. Its going to be costly, but it will probably be the best overall in terms of safely delivering max power.

hi m@ one thing i did notice is that several KT controllers do miss the lights wires
is this normal?

KT what is for? i did try to search for a producer but it looks there is no declared producer so it is even easier to be joked by bad sellers on amazon

about the VESC video...he has my exact same controller from bafang, so the kit i bought is the most common bafang kit form year 2021

thanks for your help, i keep studying which solution is best for my case

I have never had a KT controller with light wires. I'd say this is a new thing with them. But there is no telling as they must sell dozens of variations. Different amperage, JST or HIGO, squarewave or sinewave, and since they are an oem supplier you could be buying an overrun from some manufacturer who placed an order but didn't pay their bill. So what you have may be a limited run.

I know the 30a T12S I linked has been available for about a year since I first found it. But I have only seen it sold by the one vendor I linked to. Otherwise the one commonly on the market from what seems to be everybody else is a 22a unit with fewer mosfets.

'KT' is "Suzhou Kunteng Electronics Co." where the KT comes from Kunteng. You can google them up. You never buy direct from them. They are really big in supplying ebike manufacturers with oem controllers. Secondarily they supply the DIY market thru resellers. Knowing a real one from the BS I noted above is a function of being familiar enough with them to spot the different casing dimensions and labeling. I have been using KT controllers and displays since 2015 so they have been around for awhile.
