Hello fellow ebikers, I am John Cooper in northern CO and moving to southern CO, and I got a Himiway Cruiser in early October 2022 for my 63rd birthday. After one month, I have just over two hundred miles on it. This is my first bike, and I love it. I have added TPMS (WISTEK - https://a.co/d/h4E004l), collapsible panniers (Bushwacker - https://a.co/d/fxkuDsL), front & rear turn signals, bottle cage mounting bracket (Cascade - https://a.co/d/5Gury7S), two water bottle cages (USHAKE - https://a.co/d/h4E004l), wireless charging phone holder (RAM - https://a.co/d/imtiKZ9 - I had from my motorcycle, and a rear rack bag (Bushwacker - https://a.co/d/6RqTs4l). The water bottles I bought (50 Strong - https://a.co/d/97keGuj) are about 20mm too tall and interfere with turning the front wheel. I'd like a couple of water bottles that fit holders, at most) 19cm tall. Any recommendations?

I am moving from Longmont, CO (north and slightly west of Denver) to Durango, CO in the southwest corner of Colorado. Today I rode in 33°F w/o any issues. I look forward to lots of winter riding.

Any "MUST HAVE" accessories I should get?

Any advice from the pros?

Welcome to the forum, John!

A “must have” if you’re riding in 33F weather would be warm gloves <grin>.
I don’t think I’m as brave as you. I’m in the process of tucking my bike away for the upcoming winter. It’s not the cold which makes me nervous, but hitting ice patches.

Colorado must be very beautiful to bike. Please share pics of your rides at some point.

Can you share what kind of add-on turn signals you chose? How are they powered….do they run off the main power, or do they have their own battery?

Happy riding!

I'm no pro but quickly realized the need for rear view mirrors

Welcome John. I also have Himiway, got in it March of 2020. Really have enjoyed it so far with no issues to this point.

Enjoy your winter riding and jump in here whenever you have a question or something to add to a discussion.

Welcome. The best accessory is probably a good helmet. Anything else that keeps you safe and reduces your risk of getting injured are worth whatever they cost. Mirrors are a good accessory. I have a Garmin cycling GPS and a Varia radar tail light. My wife thought that they weren’t worth the money, so I bought her a Garmin and Varia because I can’t put a price on her safety. After a year with the Varia, she wouldn’t ride without it.

I am not the person in the video and I have no association with Garmin in any way. I do think that they are expensive, but not nearly as costly as a accident.
