Any reason I can't keep my E-MTB outside under a good cover

I'm not a very good little consumer.

Me either!

Coons, weasels and possums killed all my chickens one to many times. I removed all of them from my property. Some of the big bull coons went better than 30 pounds... Laser sights are awesome! Need to whittle away at the coyotes now. They also pay a pretty good bounty!

I'm jealous, but I can still be a hermit in this one horse dorp. It's wonderful to dispense with non essentials.

Add possums to the list.
There have actually been a lot of them on the bike path lately. I think they are starting to get ideas.

Last boar coon i shot took 8 .22 hits to drop; he was coming right at me. No coyotes left around here, Not much
of anything else either, just feral cats. Haven't seen a rat in ages.

I think it’s okay to keep your e-MTB outside under a good, waterproof cover, but try to be a little careful. Moisture and temperature changes can still sneak in and cause problems over time. If you can, bring the battery inside when it’s really hot or cold, and make sure the cover lets some air flow so things don’t stay damp. Try not to park it on wet ground, and check it every now and then for rust or corrosion. It’s fine for now, just not the best long-term spot if you can avoid it.

If you're going to park outside by all means put a waterproof tarp on the ground to park on. Also leave a couple of inches from the ground to the cover for venting. I think, if its not too difficult, I would bring the battery in when parked outside.

I'm thinking of building a foamboard box around my (outside) bike.....what do you guys think? Pros/cons?
So the thing is about condensation and lack of air movement to stave off the condensation....make sense? ;)

A lot of moisture will come up from the ground. You are going to need some kind of vapor barrier to protect your ebike, even if it is just a very heavy duty tarp.

Exactly. My Pickup truck was parked on grass, and the rear chassis rail nearly dissolved in a pile of rust. The body of my truck was nearly rust free, but the underside a rusty mess.

Yes, New Jersey and New England, moisture and salt. Every fall I lie under my Jeep spraying two cans of fluid film and then I smell like I've been run over by a herd of sheep for the rest of the day. I don't think I'd spray it on an ebike though. I'm pretty sure that would have most of the dogs in the neighborhood chasing me down the road, especially the Herding Group.

Can you roll the jeep onto its side then apply the spray or hoist it up intom a tree with a deer hoist?

I think it was in the movie, The God's Must Be Crazy where someone hitched their Jeep to a tree to get it out of a ditch and the winch got stuck and they turned around and the car was twenty feet up a tree. I think I'll stick to wiggling around with a covid mask on.

Any who watched that movie and liked it are my people. That movie had me in tears.

I have to keep the squirrels under control with my air rifle, or they end up in my attic and chewing up bird feeders.

We have a local coyote, whom we've named Biscuit, I've trained to come through my yard each night and clean up the squirrel carcasses. If you've got these pest animals you're eliminating, coyotes are your nighttime clean-up crew.

As for opossums, why are they a problem? They eat ticks by the hundred. Leave them alone, IMO. I'd rather have them than feral cats any day!

Speaking of which, coyotes would also keep feral cats under control, as well as picking up roadkill.

I tried trapping squirrels live, to keep them away from house and bird feeders. I caught 14 in a week. relocated to forest 5 miles away. I had about 15 squirrels in the area. Relocated the 14, now I have 20 squirrels. I finally found a squirrel proof bird feeder pole (It's a "Squirrel Proof" brand

Squirrel Proof Pole

I tried rotating poles, baffles, Fake Owl. Squirrels are pretty smart for a bushy tailed rat. The only issue is that it is not bear proof.

If you want to hand feeders and not have squirrels becoming morbidly obese, this is the feedr pole for you.
