Another tool I've used to mark anything on my e bike like besides bike but helmet, bags, seat, anything. I used this before on my tools and house items. About $25 on Amazon and comes with stickers and phone number to call to data list. Even my car came with everything sprayed with similar to track down thiefs. Just add small dot and it has super small group of your numbers in dot you put anywhere. Another tool to use.

These can be helpful, but all similar solutions have one basic problem.

What if I get some of these dots, with MY information, I find your bike parked at the grocery store, put my dot on it, then call the cops and tell them YOU stole MY bike?

There is no VIN number, no title, no proof of ownership. It's a "he said, she said" situation. There are thousands of bikes just like it.

One advantage to the DIY situation. Pictures and documents apply to that particular bike, and no other anywhere that is exactly the same.
