Aniioki A9 - thumb throttle wanted

I have an Aniioki A9 dual motor. I love the bike but hate the full twist throttle. I have tried a couple different thumb throttles that don't work (Amazon and Aliexpress) with this bike. I have contacted Aniioki a couple times to see if they either offer a thumb throttle for it (they don't) or if they can point me somewhere i can buy one that will work with it. I don't know if it's a language barrier or what but the only response they keep giving me is that they don't offer one even though I affirm that in my emails. No suggestion or a link or anything that helps. Has anyone had any luck with a thumb throttle for the aniiokis?

Did your replacement throttles have a matching plug? If not, what does the plug look like (picture).

It had the matching 3 pin male orange plug. Gave an error on the display. Don't know the pin assignments on the Aniioki or the the throttle for that matter.

If you have a multimeter and can check you existing throttle and wire up what you bought the same way. These throttles only appear to have two working methods so your odds are good you can get what you already bought working.

Typically if the plug matches then the throttle works. What this means is Aniioki does not conform to the general industry standard ... which is not a standard at all. Its 'Bafang compatible' which means there are so many zillions of Bafang mid drive motors and hub motors out in the world, and they all use a common interface, that many manufacturers conform to it so as to be able to take advantage of the parts out there already on the market.

so... you are kind of screwed since Aniioki is keeping the voltage and pinout to themselves. Its probably just an issue of different pinouts. You can buy HIGO/Julet pigtails for both male and female sides and, once you have the wires figured out, you can verrrry carefully solder a new cable (the wiring is really thin).

I have had to work around something similar with controllers that had different throttle and PAS sensor setups so I feel your pain. In my case, I changed out the controllers to upgrade awd bikes I built up myself to start with, but thats not really an option for you.

Thanks for accepting me on the forum. I'm very disappointed that I waited two months for the bike. I live in Belgium, and Aniioki sales were giving me nothing but excuses. Today the mail arrived and they delivered a Z8Pro bike worth 1,000 euros to my house, while I paid 3,670 euros for the A9 Max Pro 2025. They're taking advantage of my being far away to scam me. They don't answer my phone or emails.

I contact them through WhatsApp using +19092969922 and get responses from them. They have been helpful in solving a couple minor issues I have had with my A9.

Thanks, what a huge disappointment. I took out a loan from the bank to buy the bike, and Aniioki comes up with this scam. The Aniioki WhatsApp manager blocked me.

Do NOT accept delivery! Make them send what you ordered or refund you!

Hi, does your throttle have a waterproof, julet plug up near the handle bars? If so you just need to make sure the pinout matches. I posted a bunch of info. on an Amyet throttle thread on this forum, check that out and see if it helps. If the pinouts match you could switch to this style, which is similar to what comes on Velotrics and is very comfortable.

I have not attempted to wire up a thumb throttle for my A9 yet. I have some male and female extensions that I purchased from Ali express that I thought I could cut and rearrange the.wires but was unable to get a pin assignment from aniioki and haven't pulled the wires off.my bike and tested them to see what is what. Had too many other projects that were more pressing.

I agree though I hate the twist throttle (and the grips) so maybe I'll get.to it this summer. Arthritic right hand will appreciate the.change to thumb throttle. (58 years old motorcycles).
