I got a new controller for my BBS02 750 a few weeks ago, put it on, then went on vacation. When I got it, I went ahead and put a throttle on my bike. I only had pedal assist until then. I got back from 10 days in Seychelles and needed to get back on my bike. (I ate way too much on vacation.) When I was only using pedal assist, I could get about 30 miles on my battery. Now that I am using throttle and assists, it is half that. Did I set it up wrong, or is that just how it is? Battery is 48v 11.6Ah 557Wh hailong mounted on the down tube. I was thinking about jumping up to a 52v and using the 48v some other project. Would it help to go to a 52v?

Now, when I got back, I was offered a deal. Someone bought this ebike for their teen 4 or 5 years ago. Teen rode it for over 3 years, until they became driving age, then it sat in the back yard, leaning on the garage since then. They could not find the charger or the key to the battery. The only thing the mother could find was the receipt when they bought it.

Welcome my new project. Dual Battery Qualisports Dolphin Plus. I had to put a new connector on it so I could use on of my chargers I obtained for my Bafang. So far all I have done is put air in tires, charged it, and greased the chain. It actually turned on when I got it to charge. I am not a fan of the strict 20 MPH on it. I can run 30-35 with my Bafang with pedal assist and 28-31 with throttle. (Still testing that part out.) Does anyone know anything about a e-bike like this.. Oh yea.. Paid 150 bucks for it..

Qualisports has a website with some parts. Did it sit out in the rain with the batteries in it? The website has your charger and batteries. They don't seem at all fly-by-night. They even have an instructions page for some quirks specific to the bike. They have the manual there. Your controller is in a fairly safe spot ( see # 10) but who knows whether that display survived outside.

Does this picture answer your question about sitting out in the rain and weather... Yep, leaning on the side of the garage. The only cover it had, except what Mother Nature put around it was that 12-18" overhang the roof has. It did have tree cover, shade, damp, pine straw, but yes, it was outside. I was shocked it turned on after the battery was charged.

I have a ride planned with my buddies tomorrow. It is about 14 miles. I am going to take this bike and see how it does. I rode it a few miles today..

I rode my mid-drive bike 18 miles today. I had about 1/3 of the battery left. So I guess it is a learning thing on how to get the most miles on a charge. Do 52v batteries increase the distance you can go, and is it a noticeable change or not?

You have a fairly small battery on your BBS02. Rather than confusing things, why not just get a bigger 48v battery. Is your Bafang UART or Canbus? If it is UART you can get the Speeed app for any android device and make adjustments to your pedal assist levels or your amperage and that would give you better range. 52 volts will give you higher amperage and faster pick up but without adjusting it it will stress your system and the way Bafang controllers have been acting lately, I wouldn't recommend it.
