Accessories for Velotric Discover 2

Velotric has a supplemental battery you can purchase for a couple of their e-bikes, not my model, to extend one's range, just wondering if this is something most riders purchase? A new identical battery to the one that comes with my bike is quite large and heavy, and not sure if it would be practical to carry. A smaller size battery, just for when you are in a pinch, would be nice to have. Is there any battery out there, even non proprietary, that are of good quality?

UPP has some bottle batteries. You can get them with your choice of name brand cells, which is the important part. They look like a water bottle and come with the bottle cage. You could wire up a battery blender or just a splitter with a 3 way switch. If you wanted to go a bit higher end, Aliexpress also has some battery cases and you could ask Northeast Battery Systems to built you a battery in one of those cases. If you get an estimate from them, let us know what it costs. I would be very interested. Everyone here thinks highly of them.

I got my bike pretty much accessorized the way I like, maybe a water bottle holder could be added, but I have a water bottle holder in my bag and back. In the spot where a water bottle holder would go I installed a mini manual. If I had known it was going to be this pricey of an adventure, I might have thought twice.

This is an accessory that I really don't care for too much. A water bottle and holder that attaches to the handlebar or the bike frame below the seat that is so common. I found that I like to put my cold water into the pannier on my rear rack, as being inside has a tendency to keep the water cooler than being out in the sun. I don't participate in any strenuous activities where I need to grab water and hydrate while I'm riding, I prefer to pull over to the side somewhere sit down and have a drink and then get back going again. When I mounted the water bottle under the seat on the frame post, it sort of defeated the aspect of the walkthrough build of the frame as my leg would always catch on it as I dismounted the bike. This got to be a pain in the rear so I took it off of that post and put it on the handlebar, but I have a tendency not to even use it. Like I said, I prefer to keep the water cold inside the pannier as opposed to out in the sun mounted on the handlebar or the bike frame where it gets in my way. This is the one I purchased :

It gets expensive mate. I bought an Aventon Aventure then decided it wasnt for me after i changed the controller and display then put it all back lol
i didnt like the proprietary sh ite goin on there either...

I use a rear rack with an MTX bag mounted on it, also have a front basket but don't really have a purpose for it. I just like the way it looks and the usefulness of it, hopefully I'll find something to put in it. I also run a bar end mirror and a bell/horn combo. I'm always finding more stuff to carry in the rear bag like...
Tools
Tube and repair kit
Pump
Water
Clothes
Pepper spray
Wet wipes, and more.
I try to travel light, but it doesn't always work out that way.
