35 amp Controller help - RadRover 5

RadRover 5 controller was ghosting so upgraded to 35 amp controller. All installed (had to patch a few wires, matched colors) EggRider screen comes on and says Error report code: OxFF Protocol: Rx/Tx Swap. Message: App not connected to display.
I'm excited to give this a try but no power to the motor yet.

Whose controller did you upgrade to and what was your old one? Controllers have to be compatible with their particular display, it doesn't sound like yours is at all.

RadRover Controller 2019 - LSW765-28-8F-19 upgraded to KT48SVPRL-SPS3F
I tried it with RadRover and EggRider displays.

Hi, if you install a KT controller you have to install a KT display. So, go and pick out a new one and let us know how it goes.

If you are on a budget, you can spend a lot less than that. Any current KT display should work. You just need to pick the style you want, although the larger screens are easier to program.

I think he just bought the controller and KT is pretty consistent with their own products.

Well, according to m@ (where has he gone anyway?) all of their current displays on the market will run with all of their controllers. I hope he returns eventually because I'm only a pseudo expert.

I believe life has gotten ahold of him for a bit, and you're correct

BikNut...I have an EggRider display. that SHOULD work. I upgraded because the stock controller kept ghosting. I figured out the battery plug needed to be FORCEFULLY PUSHED together. It's working now but still ghosting. any thoughts?

Went out for a ride today...12 miles, no ghosting!!

I've been in contact with EggRider for this whole time... they have been VERY HELPFULL. We got the KT controller working with the EggRider display and with two batteries connected with Area 13 connector. Thanks for all the help everyone.
