I haven't been on my 2024 Wired Freedom much this summer. The other day my wife and I went for a ride, and I had trouble keeping my display powered up. Sometimes it would start up and the bike would run, or I would just get a flash on the screen, and it would die.
I always wondered what it would be like to ride it without power, I found out. When I got home the battery was just under 58 Volts, measured with a voltmeter. I was showing two bars on the display. I put it on the charger and brought it up to 85%. Today we took another ride, and it started doing the same thing. I was able to take my left knee and push in on the battery and every time I did this it would start up and run fine for a while. Needless to say, it ruined our ride again. When I got home, I checked the battery voltage again and it was fine. I inspected both the battery plug and the one on the bike and they looked fine. I got a 15/16 socket and tightened both sides of the plug a little then test rode the bike. So far, it is working as advertised. The next ride should confirm that the contact between both sides of the plug were causing a bad connection. Hope this helps someone that has the same problem.
