Checking Facebook marketplace last week I spotted an unfinished ebike build, which I thought would make a half decent commuter bike. So, $20 later I had me a bike, a throttle, a 36-48v controller and a 36v 300w front hub.
Over a couple of hours I sorted the wiring, wheel direction, the brakes, fitted a 48v battery, fitted a controller bag, fitted lights, fitted fenders and fitted a carrier.
In the controller bag I also has an alarm with doubles as keyless on/off. A keyfob can turn the alarm on and off as well as the actual bike.
In total it owes me $180nz (£95). Time to start biking to work!
